KL International Motor Show 2010

Held at PWTC and just ended yesterday, I went there on Maal Hijrah public holiday and it was really taken me by surprised that there were so many people eventhough it's just opening its doors.

We went there around 10 a.m. The entry ticket is RM20 per person and special rates for student above 12 not valid on public holiday. So we need to fork out RM80 for four people above 12, while Sofia got a free entrance. Judging from number of vehicles on exhibit i.e. 150, I already expected that it is not much in here. But since the kids want to go, we obliged. Main attraction is of course bumble bee of the famous Transformers. Here - me and the gang pictured before and after the transformation of bumble bee.

There is also batman’s car, but we don’t take pic as it looks rather unreal – like it is made of polyform, unless you wanna have a shot with Mr Batmat himself. Biggest automaker/dealer exhibitor goes to Proton and Naza. While Toyota and Honda gave such a dismal show. Almost similar thing that you would find in their showroom. I am proud of Proton with so many new cars and the most catchy one goes Lotus coupe..

But the best local models of course their cars named after the great 5 HANG. Nice showing of the 5 HANG, built to suit their character. They have Hang Tuah..
Then Hang Jebat – look fierce in the eyes..

Then it’s the family man Lekiu..

Next is Kasturi, which is no less attractive at mid level design - smart yet sporty..

Finally it’s the crowd puller coupe, the sporty Lekir..

If Proton can design such a nice car, I don’t see any reason why they should rebadged Mitsubishi for the local Inspira.. Or maybe we just can design the outlook and the performance machine is still beyond our competitive level? Well maybe. Perodua were rebadging all the time but no one seems to care. People expect more from Proton.  Well anyway the whole show leave a good note to Proton..Bravo Proton..
