It is those time again where another beginning come to end and we start the next new beginning again. That's how life is designed, with the journey that reaching the milestone over and again, and start new over and again. Still fresh in my mind the first day we sent him to Tadika, being a boy he is, that does not stopping him from crying hard when we left him to experience the first introduction to the outside world. And now, 19 years and umpteenth of 'first-day' later, we headed to UIA for the registration of his undergrads program. Besar dah anak sulung aku nih.. time is flying so fast isn't it...
We are there at the designated time slot for his registration, but queue is pretty long because those supposed to register in the afternoon also came in the morning... So it took us more than 1 hour to register for the hostel.
Long queue in the morning as those scheduled for afternoon registration flock in the morning too..
It is really a simple fare for us as it only took us around 5 minutes driving from our house to reach UIA. He didn't even pack, so all his shirts and trousers is hanged and pillow is hand carried... I mean it is so nearby.. he can come home everyday with so many buses plying between UIA to stops near our house - still he ask for a car ;-)
Recreational area in front of clusters of student apartment..
One apartment with 4 bedroom, no need to share rooms, reasonably size, and its brand new..
Before I left I put on the bedsheet, dah tua dah dia ni, tapi ala2 manja gitu....
Front view of the apartment, UIA is sort of resort living enclave within mountains, with fresh crispy air, I love this place..
UIA is built on the hilly land, stands by its tagline of Garden of Knowledge and Virtue, but not without it setback. Biggest challenge is most of students residents is on the hill, while classes is circling at the foothill.. So walking to classes is OK, but back to the residents is pretty much tiring.. Kesian jugak la kat dia ni.. Still thinking of what are the best option for him, give him motorbike or a simple car or my car that I hardly drive...
Let's just keep the option open for now...
